Concepting and storytelling are part of my DNA. I learned to read and write when I was four years old and soon devoured every book that I could get my hands on. One of my favourite games was to open the local Yellow Pages next to the Guiness Book of Records and combine people and numbers for new adventures. Through trial and error I figured out how to structure and frame my fantasy in a way that captivated my audience of sceptical grown-ups. These skills have shaped my life path and come in ever more handy on today's loud and dynamic market.
I got my start in copywriting and product development, which I used to pay my way through many years of travelling the world. I launched a series of small brands and helped others to do the same. I loved it and I was a great business woman, I built an international network of recurring customers without any online presence. The key ingredient? Crystal clear concepts that are easy to fall in love with and hard to forget.
In 2013, I moved back from California to Amsterdam and completed a master's degree in Natural Resource Management, for which I made a deep dive into mythology and systems theory. It was like I switched on a light bulb in my brain and the many things I learned over the years fell into place. After my graduation, I worked as a strategist and copywriter for different evolving businesses. In 2017, I founded my own startup, from where I joined a group of senior digital craftsmen in their endeavour to build the next big multimedia platform. In 2019, I joined the board of the creative collective House of Chi and became partner in the Amsterdamse Frisdrank Fabriek.
